The U.S. Postal Service celebrated the diverse animal companions we love and care for with this vibrant set of Pets Forever stamps.
Designed by Eric Isselée, the collection features 20 beloved domesticated animals, including puppies, kittens, parrots, goldfish, betta fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, tortoises, rabbits, corn snakes, mice, hermit crabs, chinchillas, gerbils, dogs, parakeets, horses, cats, iguanas, and geckos — a true tribute to the variety of pets that bring joy into our lives.
The First Day of Issue ceremony was held at the SuperZoo National Show for Pet Retailers in Las Vegas, Nevada.
With more than 312 million pets in the United States and Americans spending over $60 billion annually on their care, pets provide companionship and meaningful health benefits. They can lower blood pressure, reduce anxiety, boost immunity in children, and improve the well-being of Alzheimer’s and dementia patients. Pets also aid children with autism, help alleviate depression, and encourage physical activity — especially dogs, whose daily walks keep both pet and owner active and engaged.
This cheerful stamp set honors the deep and enduring bond between humans and the animals who share our homes and hearts.
