2023 $10 Floral Geometry Forever First Class Postage Stamp

SAN DIEGO — The U.S. Postal Service has released a high-denomination stamp celebrating the elegant mathematical symmetry found in flowers. The dedication ceremony took place at the San Diego Stamp Show.

This new $10 Floral Geometry stamp complements the $2 and $5 stamps introduced in 2022, offering a modern, visually striking option for packages, large envelopes, and other premium mailings.

The Floral Geometry series began as an artistic exploration of patterns in nature, focusing on the inherent symmetry of floral designs. Each stamp features a composition of overlapping geometric shapes — circles, ovals, and triangles — mirroring the balanced beauty found in flowers. As the denominations progress from $2 to $5 to $10, the designs increase in complexity, reflecting a layered sense of growth and intricacy.

For the $10 stamp, a rich red watercolor background — hand-painted, then digitally scanned — sets the stage for crisp white geometric lines and typography. A subtle foil treatment adds a touch of shimmer, enhancing its contemporary, refined aesthetic.

The stamps were designed and produced by the creative studio Spaeth Hill, with Antonio Alcalá serving as art director.
